Tasting Notes: Imbued with a deep garnet hue, this hand-harvested, limited production Cab has a ripe palate of blackberries, currants and cassis with herbal notes in the aroma and subtle hints of menthol and spearmint.  Full-bodied with structured tannins and good acidity, the wine has velvet mouthfeel with a strong backbone. 
Pairing ideas:  Grilled meats, duck with fruit, lamb, sharp flavorful cheeses, dark chocolate.

As you might know, compliance for alcohol shipping is a 50 state gauntlet with each state having different licenses, fees, taxes, and reporting deadlines.  Liberty has its own license in CA, CO, DC, FL, MA, MN, MT, NY, TX, OR, and WA. 
The new VinoShipper alliance enables us to ship to AK, AZ, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, VT, WI, WV, WY as well.

A Wonderful (and Lengthy!) Harvest

We picked half of the Sauvignon Blanc plants on Sunday August 25th ... and finished with the Cab on Halloween - most extended ever, thanks to gyrating temps!

Many vineyards reported lower yields (fewer tons per acre), attributed to a late frost and some heat spikes this summer.  We were pleased to have a bountiful crop for Sauv Blanc, Malbec, and Cab, normal yields in all others with the exception of Zin - which was a smaller crop than last year, but still great looking fruit!
