Liberty Vineyard view August 2022

The vineyard is looking its best ever and is well into veraison - the onset of ripening and change of berry color from green to purple.  Petite Sirah always turns first, Cab last; our Zin (at right) is almost through.

David McCollough
Thank you to David McCollough who inspired so much interest in history, especially the American Revolution through his books 1776 (2005, Simon & Schuster) and John Adams (2001, Simon & Schuster; Pulitzer Prize). The author, historian, and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient passed away on August 7th (we note, one day after National Read A Book Day).
