Celebrating America 250
Thank you all for a most enjoyable Winemaker Dinner on July 3 celebrating Independence Day and America’s
Semiquincentennial!
Perfect summer weather, a glass of our ‘22 Sauv Blanc “Liberty Bell”, and a beautiful charcuterie board greeted our 62 guests on July 3rd.
IDENTITIES: Upon arrival, everyone drew a Revolutionary War Identity for the evening from a pool of the 67 names (the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence plus 11 women and African Americans). Each slip of paper laid out their bio plus a Little Known Fact aimed to bring to life these remarkable people and their contributions to the new nation.
SWAG: Each guest received swag bag containing…
- a hand bell made by the famed Bevin Bells of CT with the America 250 and Liberty logos
- a custom Liberty Bell sugar cookie made by club member JoAnne Hernandez
- a wine glass cover (to keep any bugs out)
Before each of the four delicious courses, Nick reviewed the wine selections and spoke about what happened 250 years ago in Philadelphia, culminating in a series of bell-ringing toasts to America on her 250th!

Spring 2026 Club Member Gift
Flashback to our Spring 2026 Patriots Day wine club shipment -all club members received a pair of rechargeable bottle light strings - we hope you are enjoying them! Here’s more info on them.

To Charge: Remove the cork top and plug it directly into any USB port. A red light indicates charging. Lasts up to 8 hours.
Lighting Modes: Press the power button to cycle through 8 light settings, including steady on, twinkle, fade, and flash modes (see image at left).
Timer Function: Press and hold the button for 3 seconds. The light will stay on for 3 hours, turn off automatically, and then turn back on at the same time each day. Hold the button again to cancel the timer.
Harvest 2026
Harvest is underway - earliest start ever! We harvested Sauvignon Blanc on August 11, eight days earlier than 2022. Malbec on September 8, a month earlier than 2024. First observations: Fruit looks tremendous so far, and yields (i.e. amount of fruit per plant or per acre) is down significantly (the result of both early season weather conditions and our enhanced pruning decisions). More to picks come in the next two weeks!
